Meet Ellen.
Coach, mum, marathoner, and ocean-lover with a habit of turning movement into meaning.
Hi, I’m Ellen.
I help women find confidence, consistency, and a sense of pride through movement. If you want someone in your corner who understands real life, messy weeks, and honest progress, I am your coach.
Movement changed my life. Now I help it change yours.
I grew up around sport, running, and water polo, where I learned that movement gives you space to breathe and think clearly. Those early years shaped the way I coach now. Practical. Supportive. Honest. Always focused on what you need most.
As I became a mum, I saw how vital it is for women to have something that is ours. Time to feel strong. Time to reconnect with ourselves. Coaching other women helped me understand how powerful small steps can be for confidence, energy, and everyday life.
Through EP Coaching, I help other women find that same spark, a reminder that discomfort can build power, perspective, and pride.
What I bring.
EP Coaching is built for everyday life. Movement that fits your week. Structure that makes sense. Support that feels steady and encouraging.
With years of coaching, marathon running, and swim experience, I guide women from unsure beginnings to quiet confidence. I combine practical programming with an understanding of how movement feels in a woman’s body, mind, and schedule.
I know the small steps that matter. I know the messy seasons. I know the moments where you feel like yourself again. That is the heart of my coaching.
Credentials.
I hold a Master’s in Business Management (with Distinction) and a Graduate Diploma of Teaching and Learning from the University of Canterbury, along with TrainingPeaks and 80/20 Endurance Level 2 coaching certifications.
Before founding EP Coaching, I spent years teaching Physical Education and coaching water polo, swimming, and netball across New Zealand and Australia.
I’m also a Lululemon ambassador (2023–2026), the 2026 Christchurch Marathon Ambassador, a regular at both the Christchurch and Queenstown Marathons, and a frequent competitor in the NZ Ocean Swim Series — where I’ve been known to sneak the occasional podium finish (and celebrate it with fries).
What that means for you.
When you work with me, you’re choosing progress that lasts, structure that flexes with life.
I guide with honesty and a genuine understanding of what it takes to chase goals while running a household (and occasionally running late). You’ll build resilience, strength, and that quiet sense of pride that comes from doing something purely for yourself.
Movement is how you come back to yourself, how you reconnect with who you are and what you’re capable of.
So lace up, dive in, or do both. I’ll meet you where you are, stride for stride, until you see what I already do: you’re capable of more than you.
